Description: The Head of the Quinobequin is a juniors-only, single sculls only, time trial-format rowing "head race" that takes place on the Charles River on the second Sunday in October.  Quinobequin is a Native American name for the Charles River.

The race course stretches 3200 meters from Cambridge Boat Club to Community Rowing.  It starts at the Eliot Bridge in Cambridge/Boston, and runs upstream to Brighton/Watertown, finishing in a stadium-like setting in front of the Beacon Street Bridge.

CRI - GPS 20 Nonantum Road, Brighton, MA (depending on GPS, city may be Boston)

 

Rower Information:

All rowers should be at the venue 2 hours prior to their race time

 

Food and drinks are provided for the rowers (this is included in the rowing fees)

Parent Information:

Be sure to bring a chair and layer clothing - it can get very chilly early and then get very warm.  

 

Parents and families are welcome have some breakfast and lunch at the tent - we just ask that you make a contribution in our donation jar to cover the cost of your food.
